Our Christmas show Sparkling Sprites – Christmas Adventure in the Circus features the hand voltige act of the Ethiopian Black Lions troupe. In our interview we talked with them about the history of the troupe, the differences in Ethiopian and Hungarian customs and about their jumping school.
Today, on the 20th of October, at 19:00 we held the premier of the Sparkling Sprites – Christmas Adventure in the Circus in a heart-felt spirit. A lot of people were interested in our show, where they saw Chinese Swing rod, high wire, perch, aerial, juggling, drum juggling, badminton, unicycle and teeterboard act, enthusiastic mastiffs and royal tigers, a hilarious clown act and of course the titular sprites!
Today, on the 20th of October, Saturday, we hold the premier of the Sparkling Sprites – Christmas Adventure in the Circus in the Capital Circus of Budapest! The audience will see a real Christmas story told with the means of classic circus art!

Many were interested in the Straight Labyrinth art production directed by Máté Hegymegi and presented in the Capital Circus of Budapest today, on the 8th of October, at 16:00. The production was inspired by the poem Straight Labyrinth of János Pilinszky and based on the Yonderboi’s soundtrack with the same title, giving new meaning to the classic circus productions. The show debuted on the opening day of the 12th Budapest Circus Festival, on the 8th of January 2018. Now it is on the show of the Capital Circus of Budapest for two days!

Samuel Tétreault’s Looking Out show was presented with great success in the circus floor of the Capital Circus of Budapest! This art show debuted this year on the 8th of June in the MACIVA Circus Art Studio, then it proved to be highly successful in Sziget Festival 2018 between the 9th and 14th of August. Now it was presented in the Capital Circus as part of the Circus – a New StArt in Circus program.

Christmas is the holiday when we celebrate love among our family, friends, loved ones – when we take our time to be with the people who are important to us. It is the holiday of caring and compassion. In our accelerated world we are prone to measure the value of a present in the price we paid in money – the present which we buy and give in haste without really putting our heart into it.
Today, on the 1st of October, Monday, at 16:00 many were interested in the return of the Romeo & Juliet to the circus floor of the Capital Circus of Budapest! The production directed by Péter Uray was first presented first on the 29th of June 2017, at 19:00 in the evening in the Capital Circus of Budapest as the exam performance of the graduate students of the Baross Imre Institute of Artist Education. Later it was on show in the Sziget Festival of 2017, then it was presented between the 2nd and 6th of October 2017 in the Capital Circus of Budapest as part of the art show program of autumn.
Today at 15:00 the highly successful Atlantic Flight – Fountain Circus Show ended with a big applause and full house, which was on the show of the Capital Circus of Budapest from the 7th of April to the 9th of September.

From today, the 27th of August until the 31st of August, Friday, world-famous mime artist, Tatiana Kuznetsova holds a mime-workshop for the students of the Baross Imre Institute of Artist Education for three plus three hours each day!
Our production Looking Out was featured for six consecutive days in the Sziget Festival, and it was proven to be a massive success among both Hungarian and foreign visitors.
If there is something that can prove the power of circus is that time when Emmerich Kálmán after the great success of The Yankee Princess (original name: Die Bajadere) and Countess Maritza told his writers, Julis Brammer and Alfred Grünwald that he wishes to compose an even more powerful work, which has circus as its background and they immediately agreed with this idea.
After a ten year-long hiatus, The Circus Princess, one of the most frequently performed operetta will return on the 20th and 21st of July 2018 to Margaret Island Open-Air Stage for the jubilee season of the Budapest Summer Festival, which features the performances of the artists of the Capital Circus of Budapest.
On the 14th of July, Saturday, from 21:35 a one and hour-long extra show was held in the Capital Circus of Budapest. Anyone could attend in who purchased a ticket for any of the three Atlantic Flight – Fountain Circus Show held in that day. Just like our fountain circus show – that is on show until the 9th of September – the extra show was also about travelling, since this was the extension of the Atlantic Flight – Fountain Circus Show. The visitors returning from the morning and afternoon show took their seats according to their arrival.
